On January 5, 3TREES and the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) walked into the Yangzhuang Kexiang Township Central School to celebrate the completion of construction of the Winter Olympics Blue Running Tracks. Han Xiaoyu, member of the Party Leading Group and Chairman of the Trade Union of Wei County Education and Sports Bureau of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, Wang Xibing, Head of Education Donation Unit of Wei County Education and Sports Bureau, Li Yanmin, Head of Infrastructure Unit of Wei County Education and Sports Bureau, as well as the staff of CFPA, representatives of the 3TREES Public Welfare Foundation, 3TREES employee volunteers and Liu Rui, representative of 3TREES distributors, attended the event.

In the early winter morning, the five-star red flag was raised against the background of the majestic national anthem, and kicked off the celebration event. In his speech, Han Xiaoyu, member of the Party Leading Group and Chairman of the Trade Union of Wei County Education and Sports Bureau, said that the completion of the Winter Olympics Blue Running Tracks has greatly improved the school’s conditions and laid a solid material foundation for the modernization of education. It is hoped that the Yangzhuang Kexiang Township Central School could take this opportunity to cultivate internal strength, steadily advance curriculum reform, carry out well-rounded education; constantly optimize the education environment, continue to improve the performance of education, and make greater contributions to the education modernization in the county. It is also hoped that the school could make the best use of the running tracks to organize all types of activities and promote the Winter Olympic culture, so that the spirit of the Winter Olympics could strike deep roots in people’s hearts.

The representative of Skshu Paint Co.,Ltd. said in his speech that by joining hands with the CFPA in building the playground and running tracks for the Yangzhuang Kexiang Township Central School, 3TREES is taking practical action to support the Winter Olympics and create a more comfortable sports environment for the school’s children. It is hoped that the students will actively participate in sports and enjoy the fun of sports with an optimistic, positive and hardworking spirit, and make their best efforts to promote the Olympic spirit and the Winter Olympic culture. After the speech, the representative handed over the Winter Olympics Blue Running Tracks plaque to the Yangzhuang Kexiang Township Central School. Li Lin, principal of the school, delivered a message of thanks and presented a banner of appreciation to the CFPA and 3TREES.

As the Beijing Winter Olympics entered the 30-day countdown, 3TREES employee volunteers prepared the “first class of the New Year” for the children of the Yangzhuang Kexiang Township Central School on the culture of the Winter Olympics. Team events such as long rope jumping, relay running and tug-of-war were held one after another. The students galloped around the field, sharing sweat and fully releasing their youthful energy.
